OFFICE HOURS 9AM TO 5PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY, CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Congratulations to all the Regional Singles Winners. In 8 Ball Christina Keyes (Omaha), Diana Nguyen (Des Moines), Eric White (Des Moines), and Dustin Gunia (Omaha). In 9 Ball Cassandra Arter (Des Moines), Sean Bowes (Des Moines), Shane Arre (Omaha), and Joshua Hicks (Omaha). We qualified 4 players out of the 8 slots awarded and we had 6 more players who finished 2nd. If we had more players qualify from playing singles boards, those 6 second place finishers from Des Moines would have qualified as well. So, if you haven’t thought about trying singles, maybe give it a try, especially if you are a lower skill level player. The odds are in your favor.

We have a few teams struggling with the scorekeeper app. If you are playing one of those teams, show a little kindness and help them out.

I have a team struggling to get players to show up. If you are a lower handicap and want to get more plays in, let me know. The team could use the help, so they don’t have to drop.

Get your passport! Don’t wait until the last minute and miss out on being able to play in the FLYAWAY SPORTSMANSHIP INVITATIONAL, if you happen to be invited.

We have reached the halfway point of Fall Session. That means it is time to start talking to your team about next session, find new players (if you need them) or get your roster together if you want to start a new team. Make sure everyone you ask is willing to commit to the whole Spring Session. Remember, your Spring Session roster is the one that will play in the World Qualifier once you qualify, if you haven’t already qualified.

Finally, remember that league is only cancelled if the interstate closes, during sever weather. Also ask your players if they are going to miss league because of the holidays. That way you can play matches in advance.

SINGLES BOARDS

Here is a list of the singles board dates through the end of November. You must be on an active Fall roster with 10 weekly plays in the last 2 years in the format you are shooting in and remain active if you qualify. The board winners will qualify for the Spring Regional. Regional winners will advance to the 2026 APA POOLPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS in LAS VEGAS April/May 2026. Preregistration is required by 8pm the day before the board. Text 515-371-4094. Singles board dates: OCTOBER 25th 8 BALL, NOVEMBER 8th 9 BALL. All boards are held at the Rack and start at 11am. We need at least 20 players to run a guaranteed qualifying board and you must stay until the end. If you drop out early you will not get your money back. Make sure you encourage your lower skill level players to try. They have the best odds at regionals and in Vegas.

Remember, you have to play to win!
