APA NEWSLETTER FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT 28th2025

OFFICE HOURS 9AM TO 5PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY, CLOSED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

We have the Singles Regional Qualifier this coming weekend which will qualify players of all skill levels for the Poolplayer Championships in Las Vegas this April. The only way to get there is to participate in singles boards. We have several scheduled. The information is listed below.

Weekly fees must be paid before 11 am the day following play. After 11 am you will not be able to use the app to pay. You will have to use Venmo and there will be a $2 late fee for the Venmo transaction. Remember to use the APA Pool League app to pay by adding your weekly match(s) to your cart and then paying. Do not use the scorekeeper to pay your fees.

We have a lot of new players and teams, and they are going to need your help and patience. They don’t know the rules or how to use the score keeper app. So please help them learn the ropes. Thank you.

Congratulations to Ryan Walker, Kevin Stasko, Tommy Carter, Ryan Jordan, Kenny Foutch, Laurie Featherstone, Merly Barr, and Todd Vandike. They are all the winners of the FLYAWAY Sportsmanship Invitational and won a trip to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. This could be you if you show sportsmanship and have a passport. So get your passport. Don’t wait until the last second.

Here is a list of the singles board dates through the end of November. You must be on an active Fall roster with 10 weekly plays in the last 2 years in the format you are shooting in and remain active if you qualify. The board winners will qualify for the Spring Regional. Regional winners will advance to the 2026 APA POOLPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS in LAS VEGAS April/May 2026. Preregistration is required by 8pm the day before the board. Text 515-371-4094. Singles board dates: SEPTEMBER 27th 8 BALL, OCTOBER 11th 9 BALL, OCTOBER 25th 8 BALL, NOVEMBER 8th 9 BALL. All boards are held at the Rack and start at 11am. We need at least 20 players to run a guaranteed qualifying board and you must stay until the end. If you drop out early you will not get your money back. Make sure you encourage your lower skill level players to try. They have the best odds at regionals and in Vegas.

Remember, you have to play to win!

JOKE OF THE WEEK

A preacher visits an elderly woman from his congregation. As he sits on the couch, he notices a large bowl of peanuts on the coffee table.
"Mind if I have a few?" he asks.
"No, not at all!" the woman replied.
They chat for an hour and, as the preacher stands to leave, he realizes that instead of eating just a few peanuts, he emptied most of the bowl.
"I'm terribly sorry for eating all your peanuts. I really just meant to eat a few."
"Oh, that's all right," the woman says. "Ever since I lost my teeth, all I can do is suck the chocolate off them."
