Breaking down your cue early IS NOT a loss of game. It COULD be considered a sportsmanship violation depending on the circumstances and manner in which the cue is broken down, but in general, there is no penalty for breaking down your cue early.

Breaking and when the break goes to the opponent: We have posted this rule ad nauseam. Please read pg 45 of the OTM for clarification but in the simplest terms…A FOUL CANNOT OCCUR UNTIL THE RACK IS PHYSICALLY STRUCK BY THE CUE BALL.

Ball in hand fouls CAN ONLY BE CALLED when the cue ball is a part of the infraction. Accidentally moved balls are just that, and ACCIDENT. If a ball OTHER THAN THE CUE BALL is moved prior to a shot being taken, it is replaced. If it occurs WHILE the shot is being taken, please allow all balls to come to a complete stop before replacing and then, only do so if the accidentally moved ball does NOT come in contact with the cue ball (refer to pg 49 of the OTM for clarification). *And for those rule gurus, there is only ONE Ball in Hand foul that does NOT include the cue ball, anyone know what it is?

What can a coach do during time out? Yes, they can place the cue ball, yes, they can use the shooters cue to line up the shot, yes, they can move the cue in the shooters hand prior to the end of the time out, and yes, THEY CAN MARK THE SPOT ON THE TABLE FOR A BANK. You are NOT permitted to mark the felt in any way but a coach MAY place an item on the rail to indicate where to aim.

SL reviews/complaints/notes…We will not entertain ANY SL notes on score sheets, texts or email. There is a dedicated Google link you must utilize to submit any and all skill level reviews. This can be found in the payer app news section under the heading of “New Skill Level Review Procedures”.

Time Outs are 1 minute…the shooter and coach have the entire minute to discuss the shot so do not end the time out in the app until either the player takes the shot OR the 1 minute is up. Just because the coach walks away from the table, it does not mean the time out must be over.

Once a team agrees to a playback or to reschedule all or part of a match, they cannot change their mind. We all have things going on outside of pool, work with each other!

We cannot control the environment/equipment at a host location. We are happy to make suggestions to host locations on behalf of the league but we will not dictate what they can or cannot do in their own establishment. This includes, but is not limited to table condition, table location, lighting, seating, temperature, having additional patrons/events during pool, the music played on the juke box, etc…

Local bylaws, which can be found in your app, supersede National rules BUT only on a local level. If you are playing in a tournament in CT, VA or Vegas, National rules apply.

Play requirements: ALL players must have 5 matches played in the regular session in order to compete in post session play. In order to compete in WQS, players must have 5 Spring session plays as well as 10 matches played in the last 2 years, in the same style of play they are competing.

And here is the best advice we can give all of you…if someone “quotes” a rule that doesn’t seem quite right, TELL THEM TO SHOW YOU THE RULE IN THE OTM or BYLAWS! If they can’t find it, THEN contact a division rep or the league office. Common sense must prevail so if something doesn’t seem quite right about a rule, it probably isn’t.

This is an AMATUER pool league. No one here is training for The Mosconi Cup…work with each other and stop trying to win from the chair -win from the table.

Have Fun, Have Respect!
