SINGLES INFORMATION

There are two different types of boards you can run…an individual singles board or a Splash board.

*Splashboards are singles brackets run on a total of 5 boards. With these boards, pre-payment is required to hold your spot as all 16 spots MUST be filled in order for the boards to run. Refunds are not permitted, however, you are welcome to “sell” your spot to another eligible shooter if you change your mind about competing.

*You can run a singles board with as few as 4 shooters and as many as 8, HOWEVER, please keep in mind that the cost of the total board is $200. If you are running a board with LESS than 6 players, you must have approval from the league office. Splash boards MUST contain 16 shooters with NO BYES.

*$25/person entry fee for INDIVIDUAL SINGLES BOARDS

*$30/person entry fee FOR SPLASHBOARDS. No byes are permitted and payment is non-refundable. If someone has prepaid, and doesn’t show, a forfeit is acceptable.

Host locations are permitted to charge each shooter greens fees. Again, this fee is at the discretion of the host location.

*IMMEDIATELY mail back ALL of the paperwork to : MVAPA

Po Box 2236

Pocono Summit PA 18346

Please return the actual completed board, the splashboard form (if applicable), score sheets and fees. Boards must be entered by us within a few days of the tournament so please be sure to mail them in ASAP.

*EVERYTHING must be filled out completely -Winners and Tournament Director MUST sign the board upon completion.

*Board indicates that winners should contact National-THEY DO NOT! This is something that Marni will take care of for all winners.

*Players must be CURRENT APA shooters (in any league area) and be on an active roster in the specific format of play (8 or 9 ball). In addition, the shooter can not already be qualified to play in the next regional event. Players are only permitted to qualify ONCE per style of play, per regional.

*Players must also have 10 scored matches in the specific format of play within the last 2 years to be eligible. You may compete as many times as you want, as long as you aren’t already qualified for the regional event.

*Tournaments run from Jan 1-June 15 will be eligible to participate in the October Singles Regional event.

*Tournaments run from June 16-Nov 30 will be eligible to participate in the March Singles Regional event.

*Regional winners compete in Las Vegas end of April/beginning of May.

WE ARE OPEN TO ALLOWING ANYONE TO LEARN HOW TO RUN BOARDS. WE ASK THAT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HOLD A SINGLES EVENT, YOU ATTEND A BOARD ALREADY BEING RUN BY AN EXPERIENCED DIVISION REP PRIOR TO HOLDING YOUR OWN.
