People have been wondering what’s happening with the MVP tournament. It is still around just not in the same format that you may have previously played in. Since we are now a much smaller area I’m not going to be running the mvp tournament in the exact same format broken down by exact skill levels. We don’t have enough players in the area yet to fill out a tournament in that format. So I’ll be breaking it down somehow, just not exactly like previous times. But it will be APA races and it will be single modified elimination.

If you look in the member stats APA app under Events and filter to Greater South Atlanta APA you will find 2 upcoming tournaments on October 25th (Summer Appreciation Tourney 8-Ball) and October 26th (Summer Appreciation Tourney 9-Ball). There are the replacement tournaments for the normal MVP tournaments. The only eligibility to play in these 2 tournaments is to still be active in the GS Atlanta area and to have played in that format during the Summer session.

GS Atlanta will be adding $125 to each tournament and the entry fee is $25. As always all tournament money will be paid back out to the winners. I am going to REQUIRE pre-registration for this tournament. Registering means that you are accepting responsibility to pay $25 for your spot. If your name is registered on October 23rd at 2pm then you will owe money regardless of whether you show up or not. If you are not registered then you will not play. These are the first set of individual APA tournaments that are being held in the south Atlanta area and bars need to make staffing and order arrangements to accommodate us using their location. Pre-registration is to help them make better decisions so that you as players get the service that you deserve while in that location.
