I want to offer my condolences to Ron Joy and his family for the loss of his wife Betty Joy. Betty was a wonderful, fun-loving person and I know she will be missed.

I just received the confirmation email on the numbers of 8 and 9 Ball team slots for the WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. This year we will be sending three 8 Ball teams and three 9 Ball teams to Las Vegas in August.

The final envelope for this session’s patches will start being dropped off starting APRIL 5th. If you are the home team from 04/06 to 04/12/2026, you are responsible for picking up the envelopes for both teams. You will have 2 weeks to drop them back off.

Entry deadline is April 9th.

SINGLES BOARD DATES: 04/04 8 Ball, 04/25 9 BALL, 05/02 8 BALL, 05/23 9 BALL. You must be on an active Spring roster with 10 weekly plays in the last 2 years in the format you are shooting in and remain active if you qualify. The board winners will qualify for the Fall Regional. Regional winners will advance to the 2027 APA POOLPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS in LAS VEGAS April/May 2027. Preregistration is required by 8pm the day before the board. Text 515-371-4094. All boards are held at the Rack and start at 11am. We need at least 20 players to run a guaranteed qualifying board and you must stay until the end. If you drop out early you will not get your money back. Make sure you encourage your lower skill level players to try. They have the best odds at regionals and in Vegas.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

A man lay sprawled across three entire seats in a theater. When the usher came by and noticed this, he whispered to the man, "Sorry, sir, but you're only allowed one seat." The man groaned but didn't budge. The usher became impatient. "Sir," the usher said, "if you don't get up from there I'm going to have to call the manager." Again, the man just groaned, which infuriated the usher who turned and marched briskly back up the aisle in search of his manager. In a few moments, both the usher and the manager returned and stood over the man. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move him, but with no success. Finally, they summoned the police.
The cop surveyed the situation briefly then asked, "All right buddy, what's your name?" "Sam," the man moaned. "Where ya from, Sam?" the cop asked. And with pain in his voice, Sam replied, "The balcony."
