TEAM CAPTAIN’S QUALIFIER

Entry forms are at the Rack above the drop box.

Entry deadline is April 9th.

Remember if your team is qualified and finished below 50% in your division standing, you will lose eligibility. Each player on your team must have 4 plays in before playoffs and 10 plays in by the end of the session (this includes playoffs and TriAnnuals). Summer plays do not count toward the 10).

Now is the time to talk to your team about playing summer session. It is better to find out if you need to find players now then at the last second.

SINGLES BOARD DATES: 04/04 8 Ball, 04/25 9 BALL, 05/02 8 BALL, 05/23 9 BALL. You must be on an active Spring roster with 10 weekly plays in the last 2 years in the format you are shooting in and remain active if you qualify. The board winners will qualify for the Fall Regional. Regional winners will advance to the 2027 APA POOLPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS in LAS VEGAS April/May 2027. Preregistration is required by 8pm the day before the board. Text 515-371-4094. All boards are held at the Rack and start at 11am. We need at least 20 players to run a guaranteed qualifying board and you must stay until the end. If you drop out early you will not get your money back. Make sure you encourage your lower skill level players to try. They have the best odds at regionals and in Vegas.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

A 17-year-old boy, who works part-time at Pizza Hut, pulls up to his house in a stunning Porsche. His parents are immediately suspicious, knowing there's no way his after-school job could have paid for such an expensive car. "Where did you get that car?" they shout, astonished. "I bought it today," the boy replies calmly. "With what money?" his mom demands. "We know how much a Porsche costs, and there's no way you can afford it!" The boy shrugs. "It’s used, and I got a great deal. I only paid $20 for it." His parents are even more shocked. "Who would sell a Porsche for $20?!" "The woman up the street," the boy explains. "She just moved in. I delivered a pizza to her, and she offered to sell me the Porsche for $20." Baffled, his parents rush to the neighbor’s house, ready for an explanation. They find her calmly planting flowers in her yard. "I'm the father of the boy you sold a Porsche to for $20," the dad says. "We need to know why you sold it so cheap!" The woman, without looking up, responds, "I got a call from my husband this morning. I thought he was on a business trip in Florida, but it turns out he ran off to Hawaii with his secretary and doesn't plan on coming back." The boy's mom, still confused, asks, "But what does that have to do with selling our son a Porsche for $20?" With a satisfied smile, the woman replies, "My husband told me to sell his new Porsche and send him the money—so I did."
