Last Monday there was an issue with the SCOREKEEPER APP. It was fixed and back up and running fine by 9pm, but some people were unsure what to do. So, I want to go over what you should do when that happens. I enclosed blank score sheets at the beginning of the session in your envelopes for incidents just like this. If the score keeper does act up, you are to keep score on paper or blank score sheets. There are blank score sheets at the drop locations if you don’t have one. Once the score keeper is back up and running, you then enter the scores from the paper score sheet into the app. For those that aren’t aware, you can keep score on two different devices for two different matches. One person can start keeping score for the next match that starts on their phone while another player on the team starts entering scores from the matches that were kept on paper. This is why I recommend that everyone on the team learns how to keep score. After week 4, I do not want paper score sheets. I need one complete score sheet, not scores on several different sheets.

Finally, this is the last week for make up matches. So if you have make up matches to get done, this is the week to do them and turn them in.

Now is the time to talk to your team about playing summer session. It is better to find out if you need to find players now then at the last second.

SINGLES BOARD DATES: 04/04 8 Ball, 04/25 9 BALL, 05/02 8 BALL, 05/23 9 BALL. You must be on an active Spring roster with 10 weekly plays in the last 2 years in the format you are shooting in and remain active if you qualify. The board winners will qualify for the Fall Regional. Regional winners will advance to the 2027 APA POOLPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS in LAS VEGAS April/May 2027. Preregistration is required by 8pm the day before the board. Text 515-371-4094. All boards are held at the Rack and start at 11am. We need at least 20 players to run a guaranteed qualifying board and you must stay until the end. If you drop out early you will not get your money back. Make sure you encourage your lower skill level players to try. They have the best odds at regionals and in Vegas.
