Hello to all of our TCT Fam! As we start the new Spring Session, we thought we'd give y'all some gentle reminders on some of the APA Rules. Remember, we all want to "Meet People, Play Pool and Have Fun"!
Some basic pool etiquette/manual rules:
- Treat your opponent as you would like to be treated.
- If you are up next, have your cue and quarters ready to play.
- Begin your match as soon as the previous match is over. This will get us all home earlier than later.
- Observe all time guidelines for match play. See Page 8 of the APA Official Team Manual (online).
- Be sure to start your match on time or early. Teams have 15 mins. after the official start time before a team match forfeit can be taken.
- Call your own fouls and defensive shots.
- Teams have 1 minute to throw the next player after the last match ends.
- All players must pay their annual APA membership dues BEFORE they shoot even 1 match, unless permission is given in advance by the league operator. Shooters who play without paying dues (online or cash first night of play) are NOT considered members and therefore matches can be forfeited from team points.
- Player Time Outs are no more than 1 minute.
- Teams can Double Up without your opponent's permission the first 6 weeks.
- Teams can do Make Up matches if need be, prior to final 4 weeks of session. Please let your League Operators and opposing captain know you need to make up a match.
- Handing your opponent the cue ball for ball in hand is considered a defensive shot.
- Upcoming holiday matches can be played 2 weeks in advance, the week of, or one week after the holiday. All bars have blank scoresheets.
- Your spring roster is the roster that you will take to the World Qualifier. World Qualified teams AND TriAnnual Qualified teams, please see pages 76-80 in the APA Official Team Manual (online) for more detailed information about staying World Qualified.
- If you have APA rule questions during league play, please contact your Division Rep who's name and number is at the top of the score
sheets. If they can't answer the question, they will check with senior DR and he will call the league operators.
We appreciate you choosing to play in our Tri County Texas APA League and our goal is for all of us to "Meet People, Play Pool and Have Fun".
God Bless,
Bennie and Kara
