San Diego APA Selected for Electronic Scorekeeping Pilot
Based on the overwhelming feedback and requests from our players, we are thrilled to announce that our area has been selected as an early adopter for the APA Electronic Scorekeeping tournament pilot. This is a privilege and an honor for San Diego APA, and we are excited to finally bring this technology into the Tri-Annual environment, with a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the game on a national level!
What to Expect at Tri-Annuals
- Digital Scoring: All tournament matches will be scored via the official Scorekeeper App, moving away from traditional paper sets.
- Your Feedback Matters: We will be for providing direct feedback to the APA on app performance and usability. While we ask for your patience, we want your constructive insights on features and glitches.
- Double Duty: The League Office will be managing the standard tournament operations alongside this technical test. Your cooperation is essential for a smooth event.
đź“‹ Player Checklist: How to Prepare
Since we are moving to a digital format, players are responsible for their own hardware. Please ensure your team is equipped with:
- Mobile Device (Mandatory): A smartphone or tablet with the Scorekeeper App installed.
- Battery Packs (Recommended): Tournament days are long; don't let your phone die mid-match.
- Connectivity (Essential): Ensure you have a reliable data plan or a personal hotspot.
Good luck to all teams—we’ll see you at the tables!
More information will be available in our Event Guide as we get closer to the tournaments.
