by San Diego APA

To qualify for the next SDAPA Team Captain Local Tournament, players must meet the following requirements:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have completed two (2) sessions as a Team Captain in SDAPA between Summer 2025 – Spring 2026 in one of these formats:
    • Standard weekly 8-Ball
    • Standard weekly 9-Ball
  • Ladies Division: Only one (1) session as a Team Captain is required (meets APA’s 20-week standard).
  • Not Eligible: Masters, Doubles, and Co-Captains.
  • The end-of-session captain is the official captain used for qualification. Since the Team Captain Tournament Championship Qualifier event is run locally during the Spring session, whoever is listed as captain when the event is officially locked will determine eligibility for that session.

Match Requirements

  • The SDAPA League Office will announce the minimum number of matches required once the local qualifying tournament is posted.
  • Players must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball scores in the last two years (by the entry deadline) to remain eligible if they win the local tournament and advance to the World Poolplayers Championships (WPC).

  • This post is informational only – it is NOT a sign-up notice.
  • The tournament date is already listed in the Events tab of Member Services.
  • The official post with sign-up steps will be released 1 to 1.5 months before the event.
