Situation: The other team stated they will only have 4 players tonight so we will need to decide on the double post or makeup match. Then their 5th player showed up later, do they get to play now?

No, since the other team confirmed with you they will be shorthanded you have the choice to double post, do a makeup or play that 5th player. Similar to changing a roster after scheduled league starts teams post according to information they have.
