Celebrate their victory with some food, drinks and a friendly
"Knock Out the World Champions" pool tournament!

$30 Team Entry | 100% Payback

25% of entries will be the "bounty" for whoever knocks out the World Champs
(unless they win and keep the bounty!)

Remaining 75% of entries will be paid to top finishers in the tournament

Sign-Ups On Site starting at 6:00 pm

Tournament Starts at 7:00 pm 

Tournament Details:

• Bracket format based on number of teams, maximum 16 teams

• Teams choose any 3 of the maximum 5 team members on the roster to participate in each team match (play rotation in ascending skill level order, lowest to highest, locked for each round)

• Combined skill levels of the 3 players fielded cannot exceed 15 (only one SL6 or higher per match). Modified Race will be used.

• A player’s highest skill level between formats (8-Ball & 9-Ball) must be used towards the 15-Rule. Exception – skill level 8/9s will count as 7s in this tournament.

• Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 9-Ball (each rack is worth 1 point)

• No time-outs

Player Eligibility:

• Must be on an active San Diego APA roster with established skill level (at least 10 scores in either 8-Ball or 9-Ball) 

• Players do not have to be a captain for this event.

• Must have played at least four (4) matches in the 2022 Summer Session in standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball or Ladies in San Diego APA.

Switching Coaches During a Timeout - Rule of the Week

Situation: My opponents team calls a timeout and one of the players on the team starts to give the timeout. After the coach has already talked to the player at the table they switch coaches to someone else on the team. Is this allowed? No, during their turn at the table, the shooter may discuss strategy only with the coach designated for that time-out. A coach may get a group consensus from othe
