Well, well, well......today is the day. Today is the day that Liza Gazmen and Scot Burnell take over as the new League Operators of the San Diego APA. Jill and I believe you will be really happy with Liza and Scot as your new LO's. As of now, you can still call the 619-303-0183 league office number and it will be answered by Lindsay, Liza or Scot, depending on the time of the day you call. We don't yet know what Liza and Scot's office hours will be, but I'm sure they will let you know soon. Don't be alarmed if you still hear my voice on the answering machine. That number is still my phone for the next month and I'm not sure we will get around to getting another voice mail message on the machine before we switch. You can still reach Lindsay at LMiller@apaleagues.com, and you can still email score sheets to sandiego@apaleagues.com and make your Stripe payments through the app at league.poolplayers.com.The Stripe app should get changed over without any of you knowing it got changed. There might be a short period where the site will be down while they make the change, so if that happens, please try again later. You may also have to resave your credit card personal info once again as it will be a new account you will be paying to, so just giving you a heads up it asks for your personals once again. Liza and Scot will be providing you more contact info once they take over.
Please stop sending payments using Venmo, Zelle or Paypal to Brian Frankland. I'll forward the first few, but at some point, I will return your money to you to resend to the proper address. Liza and Scot will let you know what payment options and addresses they will accept for league fees payments. If you need assistance in submitting a payment, contact the league office number 619-303-0183.
The PO Box is still the same if you want to submit a payment via check. We plan on having Liza and Scot take over our Facebook league business pages, also. The goal is to make the changeover as smooth as possible for us, them and all of you.
We aren't really leaving on a jet plane, but we don't know when we will be back again. We are so sad we had to go. We do still have family in the area, so we will likely let you all know when we will be back in the area in case there is an opportunity to meet up.
Jill and I want to thank all of you for your participation and your continued loyalty to our pool league. We worked our butts off to make this one of the best pool leagues in the world, and we are very proud of what we accomplished here. We appreciate all of the kind words of support from so many of you after hearing of our retirement. We've been deeply touched by your heartfelt gratitude towards us and the league. We have developed an amazing amount of friendships in San Diego over the last 25 years, and nearly all of them were directly through our league in some capacity. Whether it's league members, bartenders or bar owners, we have so many people we absolutely love to death from our time in California. We wouldn't trade our time with all of you for anything. Sincere thanks once again to all of you and please give Liza and Scot a chance to show you that they are great League Operators. We are thrilled that Liza and Scot will be your new representatives, and that should be enough to know you are in excellent hands!
There may still be a going-away party organized before we leave and if so, we will let you all know when and where via our personal Facebook pages.
I know I probably haven't told you this enough over the years because I've seen some of you play 😂, but SHOOT POOL GOOD, DAMMIT!
