Details
This is a straight-to-Vegas tournament. Per national rules (see https://poolplayers.com/showdown-series/jack-and-jill/ for more details), doubles pairs must have a combined skill level of no more than 10. APA handicaps will be followed based on the skill levels of the teams facing each other. This will be a modified single elimination tournament. Signups will be accepted through midnight of March 5th, 2026, and brackets will be available electronically on March 6th, 2026. The winning team will be entered into the APA 8-Ball Doubles Championship April 28th to 30th, 2026, and receive travel assistance to Las Vegas for the event. Remember to keep your team names appropriate, but have fun with them!
All players must have at least 20 8-ball scores before March 10th, 2026, and must be on an active North Seattle APA standard format team (8-ball or 9-ball) at the time of the tournament. Winners must remain on a North Seattle APA team until they go to Vegas, or they will forfeit their entry into the tournament and the last team they knocked out of the tournament will take their place. PLEASE NOTE: GSAPA teams do NOT count toward eligibility for this tournament or for participation at the Vegas level. Entry fees cover OX table fees for the qualifying tournament ($25 per team), as well as travel assistance to Las Vegas and entry fee for the APA Jack and Jill Championship for the winning team.
Captain discounts apply for entry fees, not including table fees; each captain participating on a team receives $10 off (20% of their half of the entry fee). If two captains are playing together, the team will receive $20 off their entry fee.
Please observe OX Billiards House Rules as posted in the club, including leaving your beverages at home. OX needs our help taking care of the equipment, so keep food and beverages away from the tables, use break pads when breaking, and keep objects off the felt that are not supposed to be on the felt.
