This is a straight-to-Vegas tournament, open to all skill levels. The first phase will be a round robin format with up to 8 flights. APA masters format will be followed in individual matches. Please read those rules here: https://poolplayers.com/showdown-series/masters/rules/Note that strict time guidelines will be followed. Each match will take no more than 90 minutes. Players will be warned at 75 minutes, and will walk away with the game points they have so far earned once the 90 minutes is complete. Players who complete their matches before the 90-minute deadline will receive a bonus point (both the winner and loser of the match will receive the bonus point). Players are awarded 1 point for each rack they win, and the standings will determine who participates in the second phase. Ties will be broken with standard APA tie-breaking procedures, as found on page 36 of the Official Team Manual. The top 16 players will be reduced to the top 4 players, who will form the team to represent North Seattle APA in Las Vegas at the APA Masters Championship April 28th to May 1st, 2026.
Players must have at least 20 APA team scores in the last 2 years, must be on an active North Seattle APA standard format team (8-ball or 9-ball) at the time of the tournament, and winners must remain on a North Seattle APA team until they go to Vegas, or they will forfeit their spot on the team and the last player they knocked out of the tournament will take their place. PLEASE NOTE: GSAPA teams do NOT count toward eligibility for this tournament or for participation at the Vegas level. Entry fees cover Ox table fees for the qualifying tournament, entry fee for the APA Masters Championship, and travel assistance to Las Vegas for the winning players.
Please observe OX Billiards House Rules as posted in the club, including leaving your beverages at home. Ox needs our help taking care of the equipment, so keep food and beverages away from the tables, use break pads when breaking, and keep objects off the felt that are not supposed to be on the felt.
