This post is geared towards those currently playing in the Monday 8-Ball Stockbridge Travel Division and those who are coming into the division but it is good information for everyone. This amazing division has a hard cap of 16 teams and due to some amazing growth, we are projecting to be higher than that in the fall. This reality has necessitated the need to split the division into 2 divisions to accommodate that growth.

I’ve decided to use bar location as a determining factor in how the division is split.

Division 1 (McDonough, Hampton, and surrounding areas) will contain the following bars: Southside Billiards, Motorheads, and Blvd Billiards

Division 2 (Stockbridge, Jonesboro, and surrounding areas) will contain the following bars: Benchwarmers, The Wishing Well, Charlie’s Sports bar, Downtown Social, Sport’s Café, Blvd Billiards

Now teams in the division will essentially place each team twice. Once home and once away. New teams are still coming in at the last minute so new locations may be added to this list.

Here are your options with these new divisions:

1. Individually a player could move to 1 division if they like the bars in that division better.

2. Individually a player could now play in both divisions if they were willing to drive to the different locations or alternate weeks between divisions. (playing on more teams increases your chances to qualify)

3. As a team, the team could move to another bar location in order to play in a certain area/division.

4. As a team, the team could play in both divisions and rotate players to be in 2 places in one night. (playing on more teams increases your chances to qualify)
