AUGUST 03rd THE START OF PLAYOFF WEEK

Remember, playoffs are an extension of Tri-Annual Tournament. The match is over when it is mathematically impossible for the opposing team to win. The app will let you know when you reach that point. You can easily miss it if you hit continue when the notification comes up. You will pay just like you usually do, on the app. Remember players must have 4 shoots during summer session to play in playoffs. Any match with a player that doesn’t have 4 plays will be a forfeit. Make sure when you win to follow the registration guidelines. You can pick up entry envelopes at the Rack. Make sure you put the $40 entry fee in the envelope, write the team name and format (one envelopes per team, per format) on the outside and drop it off at the Rack or Big Dogs before August 15th @ 5pm. Good luck.

To register a new team or your team after taking summer off, you can go to centraliowa.apaleagues.com/FormTeamRegistration.aspx fill out the form and submit. I will be sent all the information. Remember you can make roster changes on the app as soon as week 1 score sheets are released and up to the 4thweek of play, as long as the player has an APA player number. Be on the lookout for lower skilled/new players (Join.poolplayers.com). It’s like finding a needle in a haystack and you never know where you might find one. I can only suggest you ask friends, family, co-workers or friends of friends. If you are brave enough, ask a stranger or someone you see hanging out at your home location. I have exhausted all my options.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

A cowboy walks into a bar, sits down, and asks for a shot. Across the bar, a Mexican man is sitting and glaring at the cowboy. The cowboy takes the shot and slams the shot glass down on the counter, yelling, "TGIF!" The Mexican orders a shot, takes it, and slams his glass down, yelling, "SPIT!" The cowboy looks over at him and notices the Mexican guy is still staring at him. The cowboy once again orders a shot, slams it down, and yells again "TGIF!" Once again, the Mexican orders a shot, slams it down after consuming it, and yells out, "SPIT!" This goes on for a while, and the bartender stands puzzled and annoyed. Finally, the bartender asks the cowboy, "Just checking, but do you know what TGIF means?" and the cowboy replies, "Hell ya I know what it means, 'Thank God It's Friday!'" The bartender asks the Mexican guy, "Okay, so what does 'SPIT' mean?" and the Mexican replies, "Stupid Pendejo It's Thursday!"
