Vegas Wrap up
As of Saturday morning...
The 2026 Poolplayer Championships are a wrap for Baton Rouge APA members with a solid showing producing two top-5 finishes among the seven events.
Wrapping the event for our contingent was Anthony Bamugo who had a great run in 9-ball singles. He advanced all the way to the final bracket losing out late last night and finishing in a tie for 5th place!
Marquise Plummer made it back to the winner side after an early defeat and turned in a great showing finishing in a tie for 17th place. Honey Mclin and Kevin Frazier also had a solid tournament finishing tied for 49th and 65th respectively.
Our top finish came in 9-ball scotch doubles where our team Cue 190 (Brennan Oubre and Tristen Leblanc) turned in a top four finish, tying for 3rd place and losing only to the eventual championship team.
Congratulations to everyone on a great event and for representing the Baton Rouge area with great sportsmanship, class and determination!
