We are changing things up a bit for qualifying by bringing the first ever 8-Ball Captains style tournament, this has never been done before… For everyone who is not familiar, it will be a fun fast-moving tournament where all 3 players stay engaged in each match! We will be capping tournament with 32 teams, then go to a waiting list of first come first served. Open to all active 8-Ball players!

Gulf Coast Preliminary Rules:

• Entry $60 per team
• Tournament is open to all active APA Atlanta 8-Ball players
• Make Your Own 8-Ball Team
• 8-Ball only Captains style format.
• Each individual rack is worth one team point.
• The players are listed in ascending order (lowest to highest). 
• Bracket will be 16:1, 24:1 or 32:1
• Modified Single Elimination Format
• Games Must Win chart will be used.
• All 3 team members will participate in each match.
• A maximum of 3 players are allowed on the preliminary roster
• Skill level limit of 15 per team.
• Only one player of skill level 6 or higher allowed per roster
• Players must have played at least four (4) times in the Spring Session
• All Players must have 10 (TEN) 8-Ball scores within the last 2 years. 
• Players may only participate in 1 team.
• All players must be from APA Atlanta.
• All players must be on an active APA Atlanta roster.
• The total of skill levels for the 3 players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 15.
• A player’s highest skill level in 8-Ball will be used towards the 15-Rule.
• Skill levels more than two years old will not be used in this event. 
• Skill levels and scores must be current to be applicable.
• Teams that cannot comply with the Team Skill Level Limit of 15, will play two players whose combined skill levels do not exceed 11, and forfeit the vacant match. 
• The roster list determines the player rotation and is locked for the match.
• Players of same skill level may be placed in order of preference.
• Rosters with same skill level players on it can change their roster order after each round.
• If a team only has two eligible players for a match, the player with the highest skill level must be in Player Spot 3. The remaining player must be in Spot 2.
• Teams with only two eligible players will play a race to five.
• Player 1 lags to see who wins the first break.
• Skill Levels are reviewed prior to this event. 
• If your skill level has been adjusted since your entry form was submitted, you must notify us prior to the event. 
• 1 slot available for finals
• APA Atlanta Pays $400 Invitational Entry & Greens Fees.
• Winning team takes 100% of Entry for Travel to Alabama.
• Remember you will need to add a minimum of 2 players that meet the above requirements for finals.
• Rosters are not reserved until paid, follow instructions at bottom of sign-up form
• No refunds after 9/10 @ 12pm EST, all forfeited monies will be added to winners.

For Finals:

• Again... Winning team will add a minimum of 2 players for the finals in Mobile.
• A maximum of 8 players is allowed on the roster and a minimum of 5 players are allowed.
• All Players must have 10 (TEN) 8-Ball scores within the last 2 years.
• Teams choose 5 team members to participate in each match (Standard 8-Ball Rules Apply)
• Players must be on an active (Summer Session) APA roster.
• Skill Levels are reviewed prior to this event. If your skill level has been adjusted since your entry form was submitted, you must notify us prior to the event. Each team is limited to a combined skill level of 23 per each match. It is the responsibility of each player to make certain the skill level on their scoresheet is correct. A player's highest skill level in 8-Ball must be used towards the 23-Rule.
