Winning team will receive airfare, 2 hotel rooms for 4 days & 3 nights (August 12-15, 2026), and paid entry into the 2026 APA Team Captains Championship in Las Vegas with a $10,000 USD first prize and a $57,600 USD prize payout.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Go to cpapool.ca/captains and register. If your registration has been confirmed, you'll receive a text with further instructions within 48 hours. If you don't receive a confirmation text then you are on the waiting list. Please be patient and if a spot opens up, we will be in contact with the next team on the waiting list.

Deadline to make roster changes is the Thursday at 9pm prior to the Qualifier Date.

  • All Team Captains must be active on a standard format 8-Ball or 9-Ball or Ladies team in the CPA Toronto/Peel region.
  • Team Captains must have completed two (2) sessions of the 3 sessions in the League year as a Team Captain of a standard 8-Ball or 9-Ball or Ladies team. League Year starts from the Summer, Fall, and Spring session in that order.
  • Team Captains must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball scores within the last two years by the qualifier to be eligible. A combination of scores from the two formats is not allowed. Team captains are responsible for checking this requirement.
  • A maximum of 5 team Team Captains allowed on a roster. Teams choose 3 of the 5 team members to participate in each match. The total of the skill levels of the 3 players fielded cannot exceed 15.
  • A Team Captain’s highest skill level between formats (8-Ball & 9-Ball) must be used towards the 15-Rule. Exception – skill level 8/9s will count as 7s.
  • Team Captains may only participate on one team.
  • Only one Team Captain of skill level 6 or higher (Senior Skill Level) may play in any given match.
  • Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball. Each individual rack is worth one team point. For a 9-Ball game, the individual rack is over when the 9-ball is legally pocketed.
  • Runner-up team(s) will be entered into a draw to purchase a slot if extras become available on the waiting list.
  • WINNING TEAM: Slot holds no cash value and cannot be sold. Winning team (consisting of 3 original Captains) must attend or the runner-up team will receive the slot. Winning team can have upto 2 roster changes with any Team Captain(s) who participated in the qualifier. Winning Team Captains must be active on a standard format 8-Ball or 9-Ball or Ladies Team in the CPA Toronto/Peel region's Summer Session. Winning Team Captains must have played at least four (4) times in the Spring Session. Matches played can be in either the standard 8-Ball, 9-Ball or Ladies format.
