Rules & Eligibility

Eligibility: Must be on a Valley APA team with at least 4 matches played in the Fall Session

Chip Tournament/Format - Fast Saratoga

Chip Tournament Format:

•Players start with a set number of chips

•1st round - matches will be called

•Players will play a single game (1 rack)

•Winner stays at the table (doesn’t lose a chip) & racks for the incoming player; the loser loses a chip

•Winner will stay at the table until they lose a game

Game Format

Fast Saratoga Rules:

•Using the 4 lowest balls of each category and the 8-Ball.

•Rack a diamond with the 8 in the middle and alternating wing balls.

•Once a ball is legally pocketed, the team must run their balls in order from lowest to highest, then legally pocket the 8-Ball to win.

•Standard APA ball-in-hand rules and mark the 8 ball.

Skill Level - Chip Count

7's - 3 Chips | 6's - 4 Chips | 5's - 5 Chips

4's - 6 Chips | 3's - 7 Chips | 2's - 8 Chips
