There is a zero (0) next to a players name for their skill level, what does that mean?
A skill level of zero signifies a new APA player who has not yet recorded any matches. Unless otherwise notified by the league operator regarding a higher skill level, new players will begin at Skill Level 3 (SL3).
*NOTE 1:** Local League Management has the authority to assign a higher starting skill level to a new player if they believe it more accurately represents the player’s actual pool playing ability. OTM page 21-22
The skill level of new players may not accurately reflect their true abilities initially, as their capabilities are still unknown. It is common for a new player’s skill level to vary during the first few weeks. A player’s skill level is only considered established after they have recorded 10 match scores in that format. Penalties may be imposed at the discretion of Local League Management for categorizing a player with known skills as a new player.
