Post 82/Annual League Banquet & Award Ceremony

I’m sure by now everyone is aware that the Amerian Legion Post 82 had suffered major damage when their roof had been partially torn off during a storm a few weeks ago. Thankfully no one was injured during this unfortunate incident. However, after just a few short weeks of being closed down we are happy to report that Post 82 is now reopen for league play. Starting Wednesday we will have all the scoresheets dropped off at the proper locations and teams can go back to their original weekly schedules. We want to thank the Triangle, VFW 1449 & Beer Thirty for stepping up and going above and beyond and hosting extra teams so that matches could still be played as scheduled. VFW 1449 even went the extra mile to set up 4th table in order to ensure there was enough room for all the teams. We cannot thank you all enough.

Although Post 82 has now reopened, they still have a long road to full recovery due to the second and third floors being severely damaged. With that being said, we will unfortunately have to postpone our league banquet until further notice. We are hopeful that we will still be able to host our annual league banquet and award ceremony at Post 82 later this year. We are working out a contingency plan in the event that Post 82 will not be ready intime to host the before the end of the year. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this.
