The flyer for the Captains Team event comes out May 1st!

YOU CAN NOT SIGN UP UNTIL THEN.

We have been getting questions about qualifications for this event so just want to share some info:

1. To qualify for the Team Captains Vegas Qualifier players MUST have Captained two SEPARATE sessions between Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025. No exceptions.

2. Co-Captains do not qualify for this event.

3. You can easily find this information on the APA app -> player profile page -> Teams tab at the top.

4. Team Captain rosters consist of between 3-5 players. 3 players play each match. If you win the tournament the "travel assistance" is the same regardless of team size so keep that in mind. Also, this event in Las Vegas if you get handicapped out, you are not able to compete so build teams accordingly.

5. Max handicap per match is 15. You can not play more than one higher level player (6 and above) in a single match.

6. If you have an established handicap (at least 10 plays) in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball, you play as the higher of the two in this event. No exceptions.

7. To qualify to play you must have at least 20 plays in the last two years in a format. This stat is on each player's player profile on the APA app.

8. You CAN NOT change your Spring roster team Captain this late in the session to get a player qualified.

9. AGAIN, YOU CAN NOT SIGN YOUR TEAM UP ON THIS POST, but you can use it to find players for your team or if you need help finding a team.

10. We will be sending the top 2 teams to the World Pool Championships in August in Las Vegas, and 3rd place to the St. Jude Shoot for a Cure event in December in Tunica, MS.

11. Placing high in the previous year does not lock in your spot at this event. We have never had to turn away teams for the Team Captains qualifier so you don't need to rush your entry in for this one.
