2025 Summer Tri-Annuals!!

Tri-Annuals are held at the end of each of the 3 sessions in the league year (summer, fall, spring). Winners at the Tri-Annual level will advance to the South Orange County APA World Qualifier at the end of the Spring session. Two 8-Ball teams and two 9-Ball teams will advance from the World Qualifier (WQ) to the APA World Pool Championships (WPC) in Las Vegas typically held in August each year.

Eligibility for Tri-Annuals: Teams must finish 1st place in their division (in divisions with 8 or more teams) or win their division playoffs. Each player must have played 4 times on the team in the summer session and must have 6 matches in the format since joining APA by the end of the qualifying sessionto be eligible. All players must be on an active 2025 Fall roster.

Your 2025 Summer rosters will be your Tri-Annual rosters

Five (5) winning teams in each format will advance to WQ with trophies and cash!

Exicting news for South OC APA!!!

We will be testing the new Scorekeeper for Tournament!! It is an honor to be chosen as one the test markets for Tournament Scorekeeper. As some of you are already aware, we were the VERY FIRST LEAGUE AREA to test this new feature at the 2025 Spring Cash Cup Tournaments. Well, here we are again!

We are going to be scoring side-by-side on paper and SKA (scorekeeper app) as this program is still in the beta testing phase. We want to be prepared in case something goes wrong.

What you need to know:

When matches are released, log into Scorekeeper and use the Filter Session option to choose Summer 2025, this is where you will see matches for the Tri-Annual. The match will be under the heading TOURNAMENT
All innings, defenses, timeouts, and final scores must be completed on both the app and the paper scoresheet in real time. Do NOT copy information over from one to the other.
Before starting play each round, bring up the match in Scorekeeper and verify that rosters and skill levels match on the paper scoresheet and in Scorekeeper.
If you encounter any issues with the Scorekeeper app during the match, please pause the match and proceed to the tournament table immediately. If necessary, we will adjust the Sudden Death time.
Once your team match is over, verify the final score with your opponent as well as verify the final score with your paper scoresheet.
Ensure that BOTH teams submit the match in the Scorekeeper App and have the winning team bring the paper scoresheets to the tournament table.
If you experience the app freezing during a match, have someone else take over. Refresh your app and then resume scoring by taking back over. Please report the issue if you encounter any during play.
Processes for tournament administration are different. We are doubling efforts on the administrative side as well. Please have patience!
