As you all probably know, we lost a member of our South OC APA pool family recently. We are going to host a chip tournament in his honor and donate 50% of the entry fees to his family. 

Brandon joined the South Orange County APA in February of 2017 with The Green Machine and then joined Blue Felt Hooligans where he has played ever since. He just competed at the 2022 8-Ball World Pool Championships with Blue Felt Holigans. His fierce determination really showed during competition. He moved up to a skill level 6 during the tournament and spent the rest of his time in the practice room working on his game. He did not lose a single match! It was impressive to say the least. He also competed at the 2019 9-Ball World Pool Championship, again with Blue Felt Hooligans. I have no doubt his dedication shined there as well. He also played on several other teams throughout the years such as, Slow Your Roll, Don't Take It Personally, Accidental D, Motley Cues, Attack the Rack, and Poke and Hope. He was a valued member of this community. He always had a smile to offer and a friendly word for all he came in contact with. This loss is absolutely tragic. He will be missed.

Tournament details:

Sign ups at 12:30pm. Tournament starts at 1:00pm

$20 entry (50% to be donated to the Norona family)

8-Ball - single rack 

Players receive a certain amount of chips based on their 8-Ball skill level

Win the rack, get a chip. Lose the rack, give a chip.

Winner stays on the table, loser goes back into the rotation

Play until you're out of chips

Last man standing (or player with the most chips at the end) wins!

SL7 - 3 chips

SL6 - 4 chips

SL5 - 5 chips

SL4 - 6 chips

SL3 - 7 chips

SL2 - 8 chips
