The wild card is a team that does not meet the performance standards to make the regular playoff structure, a team that fall outside of the playoff structure will be in a blind draw. Once a team is drawn, they generally play the team that is at the top of the division but did not get an automatic bid (this is generally the number 2 or 3 team)...............the purpose of this is to award both teams with some additional benefit, so the 2 or 3 place team was close to the best team in the division, and the wild card closen was near the bottom of the division.........so the wildcard has a power ranking type influence on your playoffs........similiar to other sport leagues that measure their performance by a point system, which is virtually of of such leagues around the globe.........GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN THE PLAYOFFS........
