Official Rules of Play:
Team placement on the Tournament brackets will be randomly drawn. Modified single elimination event. Two(2) hours are allocated for each match (Approx. 8-10 mins per game at 9 games max). Fifteen(15) minute leniency period before a forfeit is called. LO-HI Tournament format requires the lowest ranked player to play first and the highest ranked player to play last. In the case of multiple rank instances (i.e. 4-4-4), teams are free to design their own roster. Rosters must remain unchanged during a match. The first player on each roster will lag for the opening break. The players will play one game of APA format 8-Ball for a point. ALL GAME WINNING SHOTS MUST BE MARKED. One(1) 1-minute time-out is allowed per player per game. Coaches may vary. Tournament Official’s rulings on discrepancies are final. When a player wins a game, a point is awarded to that player’s team. The next player on each team’s roster will play the next game. The player’s team who won the last rack will break in the next rack. Once a team has won their match, both team captains must sign the scoresheet. The winning team will submit the match scoresheet to the Tournament Official or Tournament Director.
Official APA Handicapping Rules:
Teams will race to a pre-determined amount of games-must-win points based on APA Handicap Skill Level variances. APA Adult Division 8-Ball Skill Level’s will be used for this Tournament Event.
