Every new team that joins APA San Mateo County unlocks exciting new opportunities for everyone.

Here's what we're working toward:

🎯 12 Teams Per Division

We'll be able to host APA Singles Qualifiers right here in San Mateo County!

That means more opportunities to qualify for national events like the APA 8-Ball Classic, 9-Ball Shootout, and other Poolplayer Championships singles events. Once we hit 12 teams, we can host singles qualifiers throughout the year, giving more players a chance to earn a trip to Las Vegas.

That only 1 more 8-ball team and 2 more 9-ball teams... think about that: 5 players away for 8-Ball Singles and 10 players away for 9-Ball Singles which means MORE Vegas representation and TRAVEL ASSISTANCE.

🎯 30 Active Teams

We'll be eligible for an Exceptional Invitation to send a team to the 2027 APA Open Team Championships in Las Vegas.

We have a strong chance to apply and be approved to represent our 8 & 9-Ball Open Teams in the 2027 World Championships with 15 teams per format.

🎯 40 Active Teams

This is the big one.

At 40 active teams, San Mateo County earns guaranteed Open Team Championship invitations every year—creating a permanent path for our teams to compete in Las Vegas.

There is a new team forming on Sundays! Hiba (3), Khamis (3), and Naomi (5) are hoping to get a full roster of 8! They are looking for players of all levels!
