by San Diego APA

Congrats to those teams that made the 2023 Summer Session Blast with a chance to qualify for Cities in June 2024.

  • 8 & 9-Ball Rosters NOW POSTED
    • Rosters are summer session ending rosters (not fall rosters)
    • Players marked ineligible either did not get 4 matches in the summer session or have 6 lifetime matches in that format before the end of the summer session (please see website and bylaws for eligibility rules).
  • We will NOT discuss any players skill levels for this event with anyone.
  • Doors open at 10am and 1st round starts at 10:30am.
    • Please note the round 1 start time change, we are now starting at 10:30am, doors open at 10am.
  • Teams DO NOT have to check in or register upon arrival.
  • Teams should have reviewed the rules ahead of time, any questions you can reach out to the League Office.
    • We will not be having a meeting as all information is available online .
  • Round 1 Matches: about 10 mins before your match scheduled start time we will start to call matches.
    • The referees will bring your scoresheets to your assigned table.
  • Round 2 Matches: will be called as tables become available around the official start time.
    • The referees will bring your scoresheets to your assigned table.
  • Awards will be available for pickup after 11am.
    • We will NOT have 9-Ball Division winning and Playoff winning awards on Saturday (only Sunday during the 9-Ball Blast).
    • All other awards (patches, MVP, perfect session, etc) will be available both days.
  • We really like to get pictures of the Division and Playoff winning teams with your awards (win or lose) if possible, so please stop by the control desk with your team before you leave.
  • For Division and Playoff winning teams who did not select electronic payment option checks can be picked up by the Captain either day.
    • If someone else from the team is picking up the check the captain MUST email or text us consent.
  • 2nd round Blast teams, please only send 1 person to the control desk if you have questions before your match starts (again no need to check in/register).
    • The 1st round has the largest number of teams. This, along with referees and us, makes space a little tight during this transition period.
  • The Blast is a single elimination event.
  • Cathleen of Charmed Chalkers will be at Pockets on Sat, if you have any broken chalkers that need repair please bring them down to get repaired!

Please share this with your teammates to help make the day smoother for all.

Thanks and Good Luck This Weekend!

Scot & Liza
