· $50/team entry fee due by JULY 5th. First 32 teams paid play.

· Maximum field is 32 entries. Schedule will be posted.

· A maximum of 5 players allowed on roster.

· Participants must be listed as the captain of a San Diego APA standard 8-Ball, standard 9-Ball or Ladies 8-Ball team for at least 2 sessions in the 2019-2020/21 APA League Year (Spring 19,Summer 19, Fall 19, Spring 20/21).

· Participants must have a minimum of 20 scores within the last two years in at least one of the formats listed above.

· Players may only participate on one team.

· The total of the skill levels of the 3 players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 15.

· A player’s highest skill level between formats (8‐Ball & 9‐Ball) must be used towards the 15‐Rule.
Exception – skill level 8/9s will count as 7s in this tournament.

· Only one player of skill level 6 or higher may play in any given match.

· Modified Single Elimination Format

· Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball.

· Team Captains flip a coin to decide who must declare their three players for the match. Winner of the flip has the choice of declaring first or having the opposing Team Captain choose first. The Captains will list their players in ascending order (lowest to highest). That list determines the player rotation, and is locked for the match. Once both teams in a match have declared their players, the players cannot be changed unless the 15-Rule is in jeopardy.

· Order of play will be lowest skill level to highest.

· Players lag to see who wins the first break.

· One time out per player per game will be allowed.

· Once the first two players have completed their rack of 8-Ball, the second two players in the rotation will play a rack of 9-Ball. Upon that rack’s completion, the next two players in the rotation will play a rack of 8-Ball. Once set, the player rotation continues until a team reaches the required points necessary to win the match.

· The winning team breaks with the next player in the rotation after each rack.

· Each individual rack is worth one team point.

· 100% Payback of entry fees paid out to the top quarter of the field.

· Top two teams qualify for and receive paid green fee ($50) and entry fee ($150) into the APA Team Captain’s Championship in Las Vegas, August 8-11.*

· The payout in the Vegas event is over $57,000! $10,000 for first place!
