UPDATE: Continuation of Winter Weather

by APA Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill

Dear Players,

After speaking with Host Locations and driving around our area to see the road and parking lot conditions personally. We are going to hold league tonight at all locations except Buck's Billiards, which is closed. Again, we realize that some teams and players may opt not to play tonight. We want everyone to be safe and only venture out if they are comfortable doing so.

We ask that everyone please be respectful of your fellow league players and let your captain know if you will not be there tonight. Team captains, please reach out to the League Office (919) 578-4758 and notify your opponent so that they can make arrangements with their team members. The staff at APA Raleigh, Durham Chapel Hill staff is available to provide you with any contact information you may need. Make-ups will need to be completed by January 19, 2018. We will be letting you know the availability of host locations for this weekend in the event those of you who are not participating in the Scotch Doubles event are suffering from cabin fever and want to do some make-up matches.

Thank you and please be careful!

Continuation of Winter Weather

We are currently evaluating road conditions in the area and will be making a decision on league tonight by 4:00 pm.

Buck’s Billiards in Cary will not be open tonight for league play due to snowy conditions and a steep incline into the parking lot.

As was stated yesterday, no matter what decision is made for the league as a whole, please do not venture out if conditions in your area or the area you are traveling to make you uncomfortable to drive. We realize that our league covers a wide area, some players live further away than others, and conditions can vary considerably from one area to another. We want everyone to be safe!
We ask the following:

  • As an individual, if you decide not to travel tonight, please let your team captain know.
  • As a team captain, if your team is not going to be at league, let the League office know (919) 578-4758 and contact the opposing team captain. (If you need contact information, please let us know at the league office)
  • As is stated in the By-laws under Section 17 - Severe Weather exception, you will have two weeks to complete any matches not played due to severe weather.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the league office (919) 578-4758.

Thank you and please be careful!
