8-Ball Tri-Annual Board and Info for Summer 2026

The 2026 Summer Session 8-Ball Tri-Annual will be August 29-30 at Benny's Billiards. The tournament is single-elimination. Ten (10) teams will win a slot and advance to the APA Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill World Qualifier scheduled for May 2027.

Just as World Qualifiers are an extension of the World Pool Championships, Tri-Annuals are an extension of Session Playoffs. They will follow playoff rules, except for Sudden Death (3 hours 45 minutes 8-ball), Common player rules (Common players must sit out), and allowances for teams that cannot meet the 23 rule (see tournament staff for details).

Forfeits will be 3-0
No Replays are allowed
No Certification is required
2 Time-outs are allowed for Skill Level 3 and below
All players are required to have 6 matches with the Summer team that is participating

Please note that when your team plays, it will play on either Saturday or Sunday.
There are three rounds each day: 9:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 7:00 pm.
