The 2025 Spring Session 9-Ball Tri-Cities will be April 5-6, 2025 at Break Time Billiards. The tournament is Single Elimination. Twelve (12) teams will win a slot and advance to the APA Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill World Qualifier scheduled to start on May 30, 2025.

Just as World Qualifiers are an extension of the World Pool Championships, Tri-Cities are an extension of Session Playoffs and will follow playoff rules except for Sudden Death, Common player rules, and allowances for teams that can not meet the 23 rule.

  • Forfeits will be 20-0
  • No Replays are allowed
  • No Certification is required
  • 2 Time outs are allowed for Skill Level 3 and below
  • All players are required to have 6 matches with the Spring team that is participating

Live Tournament Board - The best viewing experience can be had by downloading the Google Sheets mobile app.

  • Please note when your team plays, each team will either play on Saturday or Sunday.
  • There are three rounds each day: 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, and 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 9:00 am each day.
  • There will be a Captain's Meeting 15 minutes before the start of your first round.

I want to take a minute to address why a fourth winner was not crowned at the 2025 8-Ball World Qualifier and explain what actually took place. The plain and simple answer is I made an error during the tournament setup. A player who was not eligible to play was inadvertently included on the roster as an eligible player.
