The 2024 8-Ball World Qualifier will be at Benny's Billiards, May 17-19, 2024. The tournament is Modified Single Elimination. Four (4) teams will be qualifying for the APA World Pool Championships hosted in Las Vegas, in 2024! 

• World Qualifiers are an extension of the World Pool Championships which are played locally and are subject to national rules.
• Team Certification Statements are required and each player will start the World Qualifier at their Highest Skill Level. A player's Highest Skill Level is the highest of the following:
• The skill level that the player and team believe represents the player’s best playing ability.
• The player’s current APA-assigned skill level.
• The player’s session-ending skill level in the session in which the team qualified for the World Qualifier.
• The player’s highest session-ending skill level in any session following the session in which the team qualified.
• The player’s highest skill level in any APA League area in which the player currently plays
• Spring Rosters Are World Qualifier Rosters - Your roster at the end of the Spring Session will be your team's roster for the World Qualifier. Players who were on the roster when the team qualified, but are not on the roster in the Spring Session leading into the World Qualifier, are not eligible because they are no longer considered part of the team. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
• Number Of Times You Must Have Played With Your Team - Each player must have played at least six times with the team during the regular Spring Session (before Playoffs) leading into the World Qualifier. Players who played less than six matches will be ineligible.
• Players must have an established handicap before the end of the Spring Session leading into the World Qualifier, in the format in which they are advancing. An established handicap is one that is based on a minimum of 10 lifetime match scores. Matches played during regular session play, Playoffs, and Tri-Cities count toward the minimum requirement. Match scores obtained through participation in other events, before having an established handicap, do not count toward the minimum requirement.
• All players get one time-out at World Qualifiers; there are NO exceptions.
• Sudden Death will be in effect in all rounds except the finals.
• Finals will be on Sunday, May 19 @ 7pm.

World Qualifier Team Certification Form - All teams must complete and return the Team Certification Form with their Scoresheets by May 16. Any team that does not turn in their Team Certification Form this week must turn it in on-site at Benny's Billiards no later than 45 minutes before their first round or be prepared to forfeit their first-round match. ANY TEAM THAT DOES NOT HAVE THEIR CERT FORM SUBMITTED ON TIME MAY BE REQUIRED TO FORFEIT THEIR FIRST-ROUND MATCH.

Team Captain's Notes - A Team Captain's Meeting will be held 15 minutes before the start of the Friday match and the Saturday morning match. You will be held to the information given so be on time and prepared to attend.
