Member Services and Scorekeeper Apps
Please make sure ALL player on your team have the Member Services and Scorekeep apps dowloaded and know how to use them. If a player doesn't have an email address, help them create one so they can help with keeping team informed and with scorekeeping. There IS NO excuse for ONLY 1 player keeping score. WE MUST HAVE BOTH TEAM KEEPING SCORE. We have had a few instances where only ONE scoresheet was available because the ONE person on the opposing team that has scorekeeper and knows how to use was not present to keep score. This is unaacceptable. If no one wants to learn how to use the scorekeeper, then THE TEAM MUST KEEP SCORE ON PAPER!!! Again, we MUST have scoresheets from BOTH teams.
World Qualifiers
Teams that won a spot to our the World Qualifiers during the Summer Tri Annuals MUST finish this session and the next session in the top 50% of their divisions standings. We have a few qualified teams that are NOT in the top half of their divisions and are at risk of losing their qualification. ANY team that qualifies for the World Qualifiers need to finish the sessions following their qualification in the top 50% per the Official Team Manual.
Accurate Skill Levels
Play your best EVERY time you step to the table. Keep accurate scores. Mark defensive shots. When you are NOT intending to make a ball, say so and make sure the scorekeeper marks the defense shot. Do NOT worry about how many innings you have, just play until you are told your match is over. If your skill level increases, be proud of yourself for getting better. The Equalizer System isn't perfect, no handicapping system is. However, if you play your best each and every single time you step up to the table, call your safes/defense when you play them (even when they don't work out the way you planned) your skill level will be as accurate as it can be. When you try to manipulate the system, you are not only affecting your opponent's skill level, but every single player in the league. Remeber it takes TWO to sandbag....the player and the scorekeeper. Be an honest player, call your safes/defense, and make sure the scorekeepers mark them.
