Big Easy Challenge - Team Captains Format

Details

• A maximum of 8 players allowed on roster.

• Teams may choose any 5 of the 8 team members to participate in each match.

• The total of the skill levels of the 5 players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 23.

• A player’s highest skill level between formats (8-Ball & 9-Ball) must be used towards the 23-Rule. Exception – skill level 8/9s will count as 7s in this tournament.

• Only two players of skill level 6 or higher, sometimes referred to as a senior skill level player, may play in any given match.

• Players may only participate on one team.

• Players must be from the same League area.

• 48 teams max. Double Elimination Format

• Alternate between 8-Ball & 9-Ball racks, starting with 8-Ball. Each individual rack is worth one team point.

• 8 teams points needed to win (15 possible games).

• Teams flip to determine who sets playing order first. Players must be arranged in order from lowest skill level to highest and maintain that order for the duration of the match.

• Lag for opening break. Winning team from previous rack breaks in subsequent racks.

• Players must have at least twenty (20) 8-Ball scores or twenty (20) 9-Ball scores within the last two (2) years by the entry deadline of October 21, 2022. A combination of scores from the two formats is not allowed.

• Players must be on an active (Fall Session) APA roster.

• Preregistration is required.

• $50 Green Fee per team

• $400 Entry Fee per team

• 100% Payback of entry fees – purse depends on number of entries – payout top six places
