Important Info
*Rosters are closed and locked as soon as your division’s Week 4 matches begin-No exceptions
*ALL PLAYERS must have 5 regular Spring session plays to compete in Spring Tri Annuals
*ALL PLAYERS must have 5 regular Spring Session plays to compete as well as 10 matches played in the last 2 years (in the style of play they are competing).
*All MVAPA info (including our calendar through 2027) can easily be found posted on FB (MVAPA, MVAPA Local Pool Players Group) and the Player app under the NEWS section. IN addition, the rules and by law can all be located in your player app as well.
* PAYMENT REMINDERS-Teams must pay their weekly dues the day following play. In the case of a captain with multiple teams, they are permitted to send in one payment, the day following their final day of play for the week. For example, if “Bobby Sue” is the captain of a Sunday 9 ball team and a Wednesday 8 ball team, she may send in her $80, for both teams, no later than Thursday in order to retain her bonus points for both teams. Teams are automatically awarded bonus points upon scoring of the match, we DEDUCT them if payment is not received on time. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PAYMENTS! This does not mean that you have to be the person to make the payments, BUT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE if they are not made…YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN, so we suggest that if you place this responsibility on a teammate, that said teammate is trustworthy and punctual.
*RESCHEDULING- If you or your opponent find it necessary to postpone, you are to EMAIL US IMMEDIATELY! BOTH CAPTAINS! As stated in the OTM , you are to have the league office’s permission prior to postponing. In addition, once a new date is chosen, you are BOTH to email us so that we know when to expect your score sheets. Failure to do so could result in loss of bonus points!
*EMAIL EMAIL EMAIL- EVERYTHING needs to be emailed. NOT texted, called in or FB messaged. Postponements, roster changes, non-urgent rules questions etc… all need to be emailed. We receive a VERY HEAVY volume of calls and texts daily and the only way we can ensure that your important information is processed and questions are answered is through email. *SL REVIEWS- All SL reviews must be submitted through the Google Doc link posted on FB and in the app.
*GOOGLE DOC LINKS…in addition to SL reviews, there are links for CueStix orders, Showdown series (direct to Vegas) tournament sign-ups, Tri Annual dates of Choice (8 ball only), MVP tournament registrations and 81 Challenge team registrations. Learn them and love them, because the links are here to stay.
From the Desk of Doc-
As you all know, I LOVE sending players to Vegas, but even more so, I love being able to offer additional tournaments such as the MidAtlantic Challenge, 81 Challenge, Northeast Challenge, and potentially even the Border Battle. Rising costs of flights, travel, hotels, tournament entries, patches, trophies, etc…has been pushing the limits of your player’s fund. I have avoided raising dues over the past few years, however, in order to continue to service the league and offer you all of the amazing opportunities possible through APA, I wanted to share with you that weekly dues will be raised from $40 to $50 beginning Summer Session 2026. In the 22 years that I have been a league operator, this is only the 2nd time that I have raised weekly play dues. I did not make this decision lightly, in fact, I have had many conversations with neighboring LOs who will also be raising their weekly dues in the upcoming season. In addition, below you will find some of the numbers that factored into this decision as well.
We have grown by leaps and bounds thanks to the dedication and support of each and every one of you, and I look forward to continuing that relationship.

Costs of travel, tournaments, patches, plaques, office suppliies, etc have all increased dramatically over the past 3-4 years. In order for us to be able to continue to service you all, offer you all of the opportunities we have (and hopefully more), we have no choice but to raise the weekly dues.*****
