Welcome to the NEW Patch Program!

Over the past several years our League has experienced significant growth. While this is positive, let’s be honest, the patch program became a huge burden for everybody involved. Players had to pay their Captain $1 per patch, Captains had to collect and forward that money, and the League Office had to track every single dollar before a patch could be processed. It could get frustrating.

We listened to your feedback, took a hard look at the program and made some big changes to make it more inclusive, added a little personal responsibility and then allow the process to be more transparent.

Here’s what the new program looks like:

• Each team pays a simple flat $10 with the first weekly fees of the session.
• Every player on the roster after Week 4 automatically gets one entry into the Mini Vegas drawing.
• Every 8-ball or 9-ball patch you earn gives you one extra entry — no extra steps, no extra money.
• When you earn a patch and you want the physical patch, you simply fill out the easy request form on Linktree.
• We will send it to your Captain, and they will give it to you.
• A live Patch Tracker on Linktree lets you see the status of your request at any time.

The Mini Vegas drawing will be done live on Facebook at the end of each session so everyone can watch. Winners will receive a bigger prize package than before: $750 travel assistance, a 4-night hotel stay, and the choice to attend either the April or August APA National Championships.

We want you to spend your time enjoying pool and celebrating your accomplishments — not worrying about the dollar collections or if you’re going to get your patch.

We truly believe this new system removes most of the burden from Captains, makes the process transparent, and gives every player on the roster a real opportunity to win a trip to experience one of the APA National Events, Vegas style!
