It is essential that teams submit accurate and complete data, as this is their responsibility. The Office should not need to expend additional effort retrieving information, which is fully managed through the app, by the teams on league night.
To ensure people are diligent in keeping scores, we will be enforcing the following Bylaw found on page 3, under Bonus Points starting this week:
Your team will receive 50% of the possible bonus points for an accurate, completed, and submitted scoresheet if all the following occur:
● Scores are submitted by 12:00 pm the day following the scheduled match.
● Setting the correct table size.
● Recording turns at the table properly.
● Recording defensive shots properly.
● Sportsmanship stars are selected (1-5) at the end of the match, with (5) showing Good Sportsmanship.
Bonus Points will be awarded on a weekly basis as follows:
● 8-Ball – (2) Bonus points.
● 9-Ball – (10) Bonus points.
● Masters – (2) Bonus points.
Scoresheet information is crucial in processing scores and maintaining proper SL’s. Communication with your opponent is key to accurate scores and inning counts after each game and verified after each match for final scores. Defensive shots may not be the same as your opponent, but they should be close, unless there are notes that indicate that you felt somebody was missing on purpose and you marked them down as a defensive shot, otherwise we have to assume that players are not marking them properly.
We understand that mistakes can happen and everybody cannot be perfect, but there are many teams out there where we have never had any discrepancies and there are teams that are consistently having problems keeping score. So, in order to be fair, once it is determined who provided the wrong information, we will send them an email stating such and teams will be given TWO (2) strikes before losing half their bonus points for the week. Each occurrence after that will cause the team to lose bonus points.
