River City Shark Standings Return With a Clear Competitive Path Forward

The highest-performing 8-Ball and 9-Ball teams across Jacksonville APA are back in the spotlight — and now, they’re playing for something bigger.

Following structural changes within APA advancement policies in 2024, Jacksonville APA paused qualification decisions tied to the River City Shark Award while evaluating a sustainable long-term pathway.

With that structure now finalized, we are excited to announce that beginning with the Spring 2026 session, River City Shark winners will advance annually into defined regional competition:

2026 Forward Advancement Structure

8-Ball River City Shark Winners

→ Orlando Invitational (or other suitable regional alternative)

9-Ball River City Shark Winners

→ Southern Shindig (or other suitable regional alternative)

Each calendar year will include Spring, Summer, and Fall session winners advancing under this structure.

Standings are now live and will be updated consistently moving forward. Good luck to all teams in the running this session!

As part of this reset, we are formally recognizing River City Shark recipients from Summer 2024 through Fall 2025, and eligible players from those rosters are being extended a competitive opportunity through the upcoming Jacksonville Invitational.

If your name appears on one of the recognized rosters from that timeframe, you are eligible to participate in the Invitational, provided you are currently active in the format.
