Spring Session Update

February 2, 2026 10:56 PM

by Jacksonville APA

We’re now heading into Week 7 or 8 of the Spring session, depending on your night of play, and things are settling in across divisions. With that momentum, we have several important updates — including Division Representatives, recognition items, and what’s coming next.

🧭 Division Representatives (DRs)

Over the last few sessions, divisions have grown, shifted, and restructured. With that much movement, some DR roles stayed open longer than we prefer. Now that divisions have restabilized, we’ve officially named Spring Division Representatives.

👉 Check the app to see who the DR is for your division.

Division Representatives are experienced APA players who help support their division and the league as a whole. On league night, they’re often the familiar face welcoming new teams, answering general questions, and helping players find the right information or next step.

Their role is to:

  • Support players and captains on league night
  • Help locate and explain rules and bylaws
  • Share important league or division updates
  • Keep communication moving smoothly between players and the League Office

When concerns come up — whether about sportsmanship, skill levels, or other league matters — DRs help ensure those concerns are directed to the League Office so they can be handled consistently. DRs don’t make rulings or decisions themselves, except when specifically asked to participate as part of a Board of Governors.

⭐ League-Night Recognition Starts with Your DR

Division Representatives are also your source for instant gratification on league night.

If you earn:

  • A Rackless Night
  • 8 on the Break
  • 8-Ball Break & Run
  • 9 on the Snap
  • 9-Ball Break & Run

Find your Division Representative that night to receive your patch — no forms, no waiting.

To support this, we’ll be stocking Division Representatives with patches at our upcoming meeting next weekend. For many of them, this will be their first DR meeting, and we’re excited to bring this group together as we continue building stronger, more consistent support across divisions.

🎉 Help Your DR Win — Selfie Challenge

As we head into that meeting, we’re asking players to help show their DRs some love.

Take a selfie with any of our awesome Division Representatives this week at league and post it in the Jacksonville APA Members Group.

📸 Each post counts as one entry for that DR to win a special prize at the Division Representative meeting next weekend.

Show them the love — and help enter a DR to win!

Deadline: Friday, February 6

🎯 Clean Sweep Patches — Updated Process

A Clean Sweep is earned when all five players win their individual matches on the same league night (forfeits do not count).

In the past, we automatically distributed eight Clean Sweep patches to every team earning a clean sweep in the previous session. Going forward, we’re updating that system to reduce waste from unwanted or unclaimed patches, while still ensuring every eligible player can receive one.

Clean Sweep patches are still free — they’re just requested instead of automatically handed out. Players can view the list of teams that earned this accomplishment in the Fall session in the Jacksonville APA Facebook group or on our website.

If you were part of a Fall 2025 roster earning a clean sweep, follow the instructions below to request a patch.

How it works:

  • Up to 8 patches may be requested per team
  • All players from the Fall 2025 session are eligible, including players who may have sat out the night of the clean sweep
  • Players may submit the form multiple times for the same team if patches need to be sent to different host locations to be distributed to all who would like one

Request deadline: Friday, February 13
📦 Patches will be distributed the following week

As we move forward, we’ll be working with our Division Representatives to continue refining how Clean Sweep patches are offered and distributed in a way that stays meaningful, efficient, and consistent across the league.

Thanks for a strong start to the Spring session. We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep league nights running smoothly.
