š±š„ From the finals to the Vegas lights. š„š±
At our 9-Ball World Qualifier, Dude, whereās my cue? battled it out in the finals against Strokinā Johnsons. Strokinā Johnsons took the win in a close finals match ā but as our 8-Ball Champions too, making both trips to Vegas would have meant 10 days off work, and their employers apparently didnāt see ācompeting for a world titleā as a valid vacation plan (we still donāt get it).
The beauty of this poolplayer's conundrum? In the Jacksonville APA World Qualifier finals, all roads lead somewhere. š First place punches a ticket to Vegas āļø, second place earns a spot in the Southeast Challenge š“.
Given the circumstances, APA allowed us to flip the 9-Ball order this year, passing that Vegas slot down to Dude, whereās my cue? and giving Strokinā Johnsons the chance to compete in the Southeast Challenge. Thatās what we call a win-win. š
So here we are ā Dude, whereās my cue? is heading into their first-ever APA World Pool Championships match TODAY at 5PM EST. This crew has fought their way through some of Jacksonvilleās toughest matches, and now they get to test themselves against the best in the world ā led by their newly minted Skill Level 9 captain, James āBubbaā Marcum, ready to guide them into battle. šŖ
Cheering on: James (Bubba) Marcum, Eric Marcum, Daniel Lemunyon, Theodore (Teddy) Attaway III, Colleen Attaway, Flor Lemunyon, Monica Marcum, and Dennis Hays
šŗ Weāll post the stream link on Facebook as soon as itās live ā grab a seat and watch them make their mark in Vegas.
