Hey everyone! We’re off and running in the Fall 2025 session, and we have several important reminders and updates for all teams—especially our many new ones. Please take a moment to read through the notes below. 👇

🍝 MEMBERSHIP ISSUES & BONUS POINTS

If a player plays a match but does not have a current APA membership, here’s how our office handles it:

• We pay the $30 APA membership fee on behalf of the player to ensure the match is valid.
• The $30 charge is then added as a past due to the team.
• Bonus points are forfeited in that scenario—but match points still stand. (This is more lenient than the Official Team Manual, which would require all match points to be lost.)

📅 How to pay it: Teams can take care of this $30 balance using the Membership Reimbursement link on our Late Payments page:

💸 SUMMER & WEEK 1 PAST DUES

If your team:

• Missed Week 1 payment for Fall 2025, OR
• Is still carrying a Summer 2025 past due balance,

Bonus points will be lost each week the team carries a past due balance, so be sure to check and clear anything due.

📚 READ THE BYLAWS

With so many new players and teams in the league this session, please make sure you’ve read the Local Bylaws.

We also strongly encourage tenured players to take a fresh look. Things change over time, and "I didn't know the rule" will not be accepted as a reason to make exceptions.

Many common mistakes and bonus point losses are avoidable if you're familiar with the rules.

🏱 FREE SINGLES BOARD FOR NEW PLAYERS

Remember, every new APA player receives one free Singles Board entry as part of our welcome package. It’s a great way to jump into the action and get familiar with the Singles program from the start. This will arrive via email with a special link, along with a full welcome message to help you succeed in your first session—including info on etiquette, roster changes, bonus points, and more.

Please note: This free Singles Board is offered in place of the old "first match free" promotion, which is no longer active. We believe this new format offers better value and a stronger introduction to competitive APA play!

🗓️ WEEKS 2 & 3 RELEASED – VEGAS IMPACTS

Weeks 2 and 3 have been released for all divisions! We’ve done this early because several teams and players are participating in the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.

If your team is affected, please plan ahead:

• Preplaying matches as the preference, if possible.
• Makeup matches will only be approved if it is mathematically impossible for your team to field a 23-rule-compliant lineup due to Vegas travel.
• Do not assume makeup matches are approved. If pre-playing is not an option, contact our office immediately so we can work with you.

We’re still building new teams and recruiting players for several divisions:

• Monday night 9-Ball and 9-Ball Doubles at QBall Billiards
• Tuesday night Double Jeopardy at Legends
• Wednesday night Double Jeopardy at Diamonds
• NEW Friday night division coming soon to Diamonds
