It's been a busy week in the Jacksonville APA!
Sunday we started the week with the Fall Captain/Co-Captain Tournament where we got to say thank you to the players that support this league each week. We increased the overall payout for the first time to $1,600 and played down to 2 winners, allowing us to increase the field to 43 teams and pay out the top 8. Over 60 captains and co-captains participated in this free tournament. It's always a favorite event for us and we love the opportunity to show our gratitude to these players. We appreciate you. Straight out of the tournament we were on the road to Orlando for the APA League Operator Meeting where we had the chance to sit with league operators from all over the country exchanging ideas and strategizing for the future. Being around the APA network is always an energizing experience and we can't wait to bring that enthusiasm back to Jacksonville.
Despite our absence, Jacksonville APA stayed busy back home, celebrating Veterans Day by offering free singles boards to veteran members. Over 20 veterans attended the singles boards with nearly 200 years of combined service. Thank you all for your service to our country. We love this event and were so disappointed to be away, but thankful to have Tim Jones & Jose Cordero supporting the team and running the singles boards for us at both QBall and Blanding Billiards. Thank you to both locations for making that event possible.
Between Veterans Day boards, singles boards last Thursday and Saturday, and more boards along side the Captain/Co-Captain Tournament, 21 more players are advancing to Regionals to play for Las Vegas. Congratulate all the winners on our Facebook page!
The week is not over yet and there are more singles boards are still to come before the qualifying window ends!

Players are eligible if they are active in the format (8-ball or 9-ball) with at least 10 matches played in the format in the last 2 years.
