Congratulations to the Summer 2024 Division Champions and welcome to playoff week!   

Make sure you check your APA Pool League app to see the final division standings and playoff schedule for your division. All playoff matches take place during your normal league time this week at your regular host location, or at the higher seed’s host location in travel divisions. Contact our office if you have any questions regarding playoff matches.   

Playoff matches are scored just like league night on the APA Scorekeeper app, with the exception of forfeits which are worth 3-0 in 8-ball and 20-0 in 9-ball. All other rules are the same as a regular session league night. Playoff matches may end early once it is mathematically impossible for the other team to win. If this happens, just submit the incomplete match on the app. Full team fees are due for playoffs regardless of the number of matches played.  

Pay close attention to player eligibility on the app when declaring players. Italicized players are ineligible for playoffs. Players need at least 4 matches with the team during the Summer session to be eligible. Teams advancing to Tri-Annual need to make sure new players have at least 6 lifetime matches before the tournament to be eligible.  

Playoff winners advance to the Summer Tri-Annual, August 24th for 8-Ball and August 25th for 9-Ball. Tri-Annual winners advance to the World Qualifier and leave with $800!  

Teams that do not win at Tri-Annual come back for Tri-Annual: Best of the Rest on September 14th (9-Ball) or September 15th (8-Ball). Best of the Rest offers teams a chance to still earn qualification for the World Qualifier, but without the cash prize.    

Next week starts the new league session. Contact us now to register your team! Schedules will be released over the next few days as they are ready. We will also be sending instructions for teams impacted by the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas during the first two weeks of the new session. If this is you or your team, don't worry, you'll have time to get those matches played.
