Capt/Co-Capt. Tournament

We are getting a lot of questions about The Captain/Co-Captain Tournament scheduled for October 16th, 2021. This post should clear up some of the confusion...

  1. ANY current Captain or Co-Captain in the Fall 2021 session is eligible to play in this doubles tournament with ANY other player active in the Jacksonville APA as their partner as long as their combined skill level does not exceed 10. (If a player is a different skill level in 8-ball and 9-ball, the higher of the two will be used to calculate the team's combined skill level).

Note: Captains and co-captains in our ladies division are invited to participate in the SPRING tournament (February 12th, 2022). Masters captains and co-captains are not eligible for this event.
  2. This tournament is a free tournament awarding cash and prizes. We run this tournament every session as a way for us to say thanks to the captains and co-captains that session.
  3. We mix things up at this tournament and play a fun game called Saratoga... check out the game rules here --> https://jacksonville.apaleagues.com/capt-co-tourney.aspx.
    (Hint: Practice beforehand. Think defense).
  4. You MUST pre-register online to participate: https://jacksonville.apaleagues.com/FormTournamentRegistrationSelectTournament.aspx?tournamentType=doubles
  5. This tournament is NOT the Team Captains Tournament where a team of 5 Team Captains advance to Las Vegas for the APA Team Captains Championship. Only players who captain a team for at least two sessions in the current league year (Summer 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022) are eligible for the Team Captains Tournament. If that's you, then mark your calendar and start thinking about your team because that tournament is scheduled for March 13th, 2022.

If you still have questions about this tournament and/or your eligibility, please call or text us at 904-585-8180 and we will be happy to clear up any confusion.

Congrats Jacksonville Finalists
