The APA Heart of VA will send 2 teams from this qualifier to compete in the Mid Atlantic Challenge. The Challenge will be held at Q Master Billiards in Virginia Beach on November 21-23.(Please note that matches at the Mid Atlantic Challenge will start at Noon on 11/21.)

The Mid Atlantic Challenge is a 9-Ball tournament for all APA areas in the Mid-Atlantic region. Teams qualify from their local league area to compete in the challenge. There are 128 team slots and payouts will be over $19,000. For teams that lose their first two rounds, there will be a Second Chance tournament of 32 teams. There will also be mini-mania tournaments all weekend.

For the Qualifier, register your team online by 5pm on 9/19. Matches are scheduled to start at 10am on 9/20.

To register go to the APA Heart of VA website. From the menu on the left hand side, select "Tournament Registration" and "Team", and then click the "Register Button" to enter your team.

Tournament details:

• 3 person team
• Max combined SL of 15
• SL 8s and 9s will count as a SL 7 for the purposes of the combined handicap but will still race to their appropriate ball count
• Only 1 Senior SL (6+) per team
• Players must be on a current 9-Ball team in the APA Heart of VA
• Players must have 20 9-Ball matches played within the past 2 years
• $80 entry fee, plus $10/team greens fees
• Regular APA 9-Ball rules and points races
• Each individual match won gives your team 1 point. First team to win 2 points wins the match.
• Modified Single elimination tournament
• When you register your team, you will need to register in the order of rotation that you will play for the entire qualifier. That is, if you win the first round 2-0, then the rotation for the next round would start with the third player and the rotation would remain the same.
