ALL MATCHES FOR THE SESSION ARE AVAILABLE
If you have notifications turned on for the APA app... you may be curious why you just received so many notifications from it...
That is because all matches for the session have been released. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this is a new process.
This is to help make it easier for teams that want to play any match in full or a partial match in advance, now the matches are all there. Teams that do a make-up match you still need to notify the League office detailing what date you will be playing the makeup match on. This now makes every match for the rest of the session available for scoring in the Scorekeeper App OR for download with scoresheets.
If printing scoresheets in advance, refer to current skill levels at the time the match is being played.
**Please keep in mind there can still be a lot of schedule changes, especially within the first several weeks of the season. The league office attempts to fill byes and that may create some make up matches. Bye points are assigned after week 4 if the BYE is unable to be filled by that time.
Additional reminder there are no full night forfeits in the first few weeks of play. Please refer to FFC local area bylaws for procedures handled in our area from start of session to end of session. Schedule changes are more frequent and get updated as soon as league office is notified, they may or may not be with advance notice depending on circumstances.
Weekly matches will still be updated weekly at the end of the week when processed as usual. The scores and skill updates normally happen on Friday nights. Team fee accounting normally happens over the weekend. You may see more than one current week update for this reason.
Future weekly matches will be re-released every week when information is updated and this process will update skill levels, standings, matches played, any potential scheduling changes, etc... just like normal. Please keep in mind there could be some matchup changes due to scheduling changes. Also, when skill levels change, you will need to play matches at the current skill levels those will also be reset.
In the event that you view or play a match in advance for any reason, be sure to do the following...
If you log out of the scorekeeping app OR clear the cache in the app (select your initials on the top right in the app and select "clear cache"), this will reset the skill levels in the app for any match you may be viewing or playing ahead. Skill levels will then be the same for the week you're in.
This is explained in memo section in scorekeeper app for every week that was run in advance.
That is an important process to do to ensure skill levels update for any match played in advance whether or not any players changed skill level up or down.
As weekly matches are processed and updated at the end of the week, it updates skill levels for the coming week BUT the above process must be done for matches played in advance.
Thank you for your understanding while I ran all of the remaining matches. This process just helped to make that easier all around for all teams because I have had multiple requests for matches to be available ahead of time for them to be played early due to holidays, league events, etc…
